New material industry is an important basic and leading industry, the material basis and strategic forerunner of economic construction, social progress and national security, and one of the four leading industries in Harbin New Area. Since its establishment, Harbin New Area has adhered to the principle of pioneering and experimenting, promoted innovation and industrial upgrading, continuously optimized the business environment, strengthened policy supply, and encouraged scientific and technological research and development. Titanium Industry Research Institute is initiated by the Third Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation and jointly established by Harbin Institute of Technology, relying on Aerospace Haiying (Harbin) Titanium Industry Co., LTD. Centering on the needs of new generation weapons and equipment and national strategic emerging industries, titanium Industry Research Institute is committed to the basic and applied technology research of special metal materials and composite materials, scientific research of new material manufacturing technology, new material technology and application promotion, high-tech enterprise incubation and industrialization. Efforts will be made to promote breakthroughs in key military technologies represented by titanium alloy, superalloy and other special metal materials and composite materials, and to enhance the capabilities of applied technologies represented by additive manufacturing, powder metallurgy, thermal forming and hybrid forming.
