Angang group developed Ti60 high temperature titanium alloy

The Beijing Research Institute of Anshan Iron and Steel Group has successfully developed Ti60 high-temperature titanium alloy, the first industrial-grade ingot weighing 3 tons. This product fills the blank in the field of research and development and preparation of the alloy by Angang Group.
It is understood that the current highest temperature of the traditional high-temperature titanium alloy is 600℃, and Ti60 material composition is extremely complex, containing a variety of high melting point, difficult to melt, easy segregation elements, vacuum melting control is very difficult. In order to meet the development needs of high-end titanium materials, the special titanium material team of Beijing Institute of Vanadium and Titanium Of Anshan Iron and Steel Group takes Ti60 high-temperature titanium alloy as the research and development focus, and carries out technological breakthroughs. The team consists of relevant scientific researchers from Chengdu Advanced Metal Materials Industrial Technology Research Institute of Pangang and Jiangyou Branch of Titanium Material Company. The first 3 tons of Ti60 high temperature titanium ingot of heavy industry grade of Angang Group was successfully trial-produced.
Related person in charge of special titanium material team of Vanadium titanium Branch said that the successful preparation of industrial grade Ti60 high-temperature titanium alloy ingot has expanded the space for the development of high-end titanium material of Angang Group. In the future, the team will continue to increase innovation efforts, research and manufacture more high-end titanium materials, and realize the transformation and upgrading of angang Group titanium alloy industry.
